Our Volunteers

“There’s Nothing Stronger Than the Heart of a Volunteer”

Our volunteer’s are truly the heartbeat of Homecare & Hospice. They are irreplaceable members of our team, dedicated to providing compassionate care to our clients.

Volunteers are valued for the kind of joy and support they can give to our clients and their families. Whether it’s just a friendly chat or a hand to hold during a difficult time, volunteers provide our clients with an invaluable service.

Our volunteer team is made up of women and men who are dedicated to giving of their time and of themselves to help others. Some of them have only been volunteering for a few months, others for decades. But each of them bring to our organization the sincerity to help, willingness to learn and courage to care.

Our volunteers provide support to our clients and families through the following activities:

  • Baking at The Good Shepherd Hospice House
  • Companionship for our Clients
  • Respite for our Caregivers
  • Transportation and Errands Assistance
  • Veteran to Veteran Volunteering
  • Bereavement Outreach
  • Mailings and Office Support

We also have a number of unique volunteer services that we can offer our clients and families, each of these services are offered thanks to the specific talents and expertise our volunteers bring to the Homecare & Hospice team. Some of those additional services include massage therapy, music therapy and the creation of one of a kind memory bears.
